About
I’m Kateřina Murová, a visual artist. I paint by hand—no brushes. I apply the paint with my fingers and palms, layer it, spread it, let it run. I arrived at this technique on my own, and it keeps me in direct contact with the painting: nothing stands between me and the canvas.
I mostly make large-format abstract paintings, up to 140 × 100 cm—acrylic on MDF boards and canvas. In the newer works I also work with fire: the flame presses marks into the painting that no hand could imitate.

Art knows no borders.
The paintings hang in galleries, cafés, beauty studios and hotels in the Czech Republic and abroad. Alongside them, I paint antique furniture and, with David Kelič, I’m preparing Muur, a brand of artistic musical instruments.
